Dr. Michelle Tafoya

A Northern California native, Dr. Michelle Tafoya grew up in Sacramento and has called the region home her entire life. Her passion for animals and science began at an early age—she’s known she wanted to be a veterinarian since kindergarten. Today, Dr. Tafoya is proud to live out that lifelong dream by delivering compassionate, high-quality care to dogs and cats, with a strong focus on improving their overall quality of life.

Dr. Tafoya earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of California, Davis. Her professional interests and special skills include internal medicine, preventative care, and performing soft tissue surgeries. She is dedicated to staying current with the latest in veterinary medicine to ensure the best possible outcomes for her patients.

At home, Dr. Tafoya’s love for animals continues—she shares her life with her cat Rooney and two dachshunds, Pollie and Artie. When she’s not at the clinic, you can find her cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers or enjoying creative time through crafting.
